   1st figure out the wirless interface by the command ifconfig and then open up wicd manager and click on the prefrences tab. Once in the prefrences tab type in your wirless interface, you might need to restart. Sometimes though you can just refresh, but if you need to restart do so. If it say’s no wirless extention in ifconfig then you will need to look into the drivers of your wifi. If you are in vmware ull have to use a usb wifi…. Best of luck…

   my netbios over TCPIP is diabled and also my ip address in amd is different and when i type ifconfig in backtrack i see a different one what is that all about pls help

   aparece assim acho por que é ipv6 addr : fe80: scope:link quero que apareça meu ip verdadeiro como no ipv4. Minha internet é viacabo. Valeu mano.. Sou do brasil

    @vegaPro2010 can tell me the steps for creating connecting in bt4 installed in hdd ..Because i have configured my router in BRIDGED MODE..So i shud create a connectiong with ISP given username and password.Can u mail me the steps to karthic.imp@gmail.com
