This is a good entry-level android phone. BUT …… If you’re into speed or any other bells and whistles, stay the hell away from it.

i have this phone, and to be honest, it isn’t all that good compared to all the phones now. i can’t wait to get a new one in november, and yes, the back cover is SO HARD to take off. I use a mini screwdriver to take it off, lol. it freezes a lot and it takes a long time to turn on, and it’s just a drag sometimes… but if you’re patient like that, then i guess you could get this phone..

my brother has the optimus t and he loves it. but i think personally motorola is a better brand.

Don’t get this phone. It’s a complete P.O.S. Android just released it’s latest version: 4.0. this phone still runs on 1.5, which was already outdated when this phone was released in spring 2010. Read my previous comment. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money for a newer phone like the Samsung Nexus (runs on Android 4.0) or the Samsung Galaxy S2 (runs on Android 2.3.5), then consider the Samsung Vibrant (has Android 2.1) or Samsung Galaxy S (Android 2.2).
I have this phone & it’s a total piece of shit. It was released on Android 1.5, when all other Android phones were getting 2.0+. A month after I got it (May 2010), Samsung came out with the Galaxy Vibrant for Tmobile, with Android 2.1. With 1.5, you can’t even download any apps. The Android Market website requires that you have Android 1.6+. Ridiculous. I do like the Swype feature though.
