Hi. Does asus google nexus 7 support the cable that connects micro USB to HDMI? Please help me? Plus the Samsung OTG micro USB cable connector cannot read a USB when I connect it to my nexus 7 using Nexus Media Importer. What’s the deal with that?

there is no need to safely remove anymore the reason it was needed on older systems such as XP and before was because it made a permanent connection between them so it could cause issues to just pull it out with Vista and 7 and on-wards including most newer Linux distros its the same case works fine and is perfectly safe as long as you dont disconnect while its in use

  10. sadljasdljsa says:

How do you safely remove usb devices after doing this? Just unplugging doesn’t always feel right and I assume “safely remove devices” is on a computer for a reason… Thanks!

  11. michael sterling says:

Did you install a usb mounting app?

  12. michael sterling says:

Yes OTG cables are universal to android devices that support it.Also, no you cant it sucks but i was told from a dev that the tablet just wont charge in OTG mode.

  13. michael sterling says:

No you dont. Just an OTG cable.

  14. michael sterling says:

No it dose not charge when in OTG mode.

  15. Msuhail9 says:

    You need root.

  16. batmanunleashed says:

Also, does the Samsung OTG’s work with our beloved Nexus 7?

  17. batmanunleashed says:

@HFikhter, that’s what I wanted to ask as well, seeing as how with video playback, the nexus 7′s juice will ultimately run out quick.

  18. aephix73 says:

Did you unlock then root your nexus 7 first? Then if you have, you have to install the Stick Mount app. If you haven’t unlocked and rooted yet, just do a search and you’ll find the Google Nexus 7 Toolkit, over at XDA-developers forums.

  19. HFikhter says:

Can you use the OTG and peripherals with a powered USB hub, so the tablet is charged at the same time?

  20. kainethepain says:

it does not work for me it will not mount my memory stick

  21. Gabriel Paiva says:

If it uses a external power supply, yes a mounted drive on android 4.0+ is just like another folder, you can acess the data from any program,i guess you can write to it

the trailer runs smooth in software decode mode in 1080p (what format is that), the mkv with probably has the exact same H.264 video steam in it run in hardware accelerated stutters like hell and you expected this? i dont get it.
