    I called t-mobile to do this and they said the shadow was not eligible for the 9.99 plan. So I asked what phone would be. They told me a good one was sony ericson tm506. So I hung up, called right back and told them that was the phone I had. Worked like a charm! Instead of paying $34.99/mo for web and text now I’m paying $19.99/mo for my iphone! Thanks!

    hasnt the iphone always had edge? i mean thats what it used before the 3G came out. whats the advantage to this?

    This is to set up the iPhone for use with T-mobiles internet. The iPhone is not an official T-Mobile phone, so you cant just pop a T-Mobile sim in it and it works… you need to tweak it in order to get the internet working.

    The $24.99 smartphone internet plan for tmobile IS NOT the only plan the iphone works on… Tmobile customer care tries to FORCE ALL iphone users into the more expensive plan… Truth be told if you tell customer care you want the $9.99 “webtogoplan” because you have a cell phone called “tmobile shadow” they’ll add the $9.99 unlimited plan to your account. Then use APN: (internet2.voicestreamdotcom)

    is there no 3G for T-Mobile in the US? I am on T-Mobile UK on a jailbroken iPhone and i have 3G etc. It works the same as O2-UK, or for you guys AT&T.

    I got the 24.99 data plan for the iphone and yeah it sucks cuss its only edge!! Does anyone know it i could enable 3g on It???? Anyways yeah thats the only plan that work with tmobile iphone and I tether my iphone when I am not home, its good for web and email, but youtube and streaming video, hell no, but yeah good 24.99 if you find yourself out the house a lot.
