you go to Computer, click Organize at the top left, click Folder and Search Options, then go to the “view” tab, and uncheck the box that says “hide extensions for known file types”… then go to the .zip folder and rename the .zip to .ipsw

Mine is doing the exact thing! I unplugged it and pressed the power button for 30 seconds and it came on but then I tried jailbreaking it again and it did the same thing, but now when I pressed the power button for 30 seconds it didn’t come on! I’ve had it held down for like two minutes now and it won’t come on! WHAT IN THE WORLD SHOULD WE DO??? SOMEONE…DOES ANYONE KNOW?

I reeeallly hope this works because I used GreenPois0n last time and it restored my iPhone 3G and everything was gone. I eventually got every last bit back (thank goodness), but it took me the whole weekend.

Now i realized i needed 5.1 so i got it and when i try to proccess the firmware it says “Unable to recognize specified ISPW”
I did all the hold for 10 seconds stuff but after that when there is like writing on the actual iphone it didnt show up plus its said waiting to reboot for about 10-15 minutes, help?
