    yeah you can use custom firmware only if the phone is already jailbreak, if it’s new out of the box you have to use blackra1n or a mac

    I’m not sure if it will work with your carrier, but i do see post around the web with people saying they work in UK. . Well if it’s jailbreak you can use a download from cydia that turn your iPhone into a live wifi/tethering without paying for it.

    Nice one, that would be a useful video.. Do you know if your jail break works on my phone though? Also the third part of the dream is to get my laptop connected to the net through my iPhone, call it tethering here, and o2 charges 25 bucks per month! Best regards J.

    Congrats on the new phone, but you seems to have a really big dream for the iPhone lol. The advantage of jailbreak is to be able to customize your phone to fit your style, some people use crack applications ( which I don’t advice to do) – I will make a video telling you the advantage and dis-advantages of jailbreaking your iPhone.

    Nice video, does the jailbreak work with uk providers specifically 02? I have just picked up a brand new out of the box 3gs 16gig 3.1.2 7d11     Modem 05.11.07.  What are the main benefits of jailbreaking? My iPhone dreams are 1) to be able to install some kind of flash player to play video content , like BBCi player… 2) to be able to download mp3 music files direct to my phone using something like limewire(I.e. Free music) or a similar application.
