After a lot of people have been asking about the tweak Backgrounder being available on the latest versions of iOS, iOS 5 and 5.0.1, it was finally tweaked and made compatible. It was earlier indicated that the developer of Backgrounder had stopped support for the after the release of iOS 4.2.1. Since then, other developers from the community contributed to the project and the cydia tweaks was available for all versions of iOS up to 4.3.4. After that, things had gone dark and no updates were released for the tweak. Now, thanks to the work of @ashikase, it is once again available. Backgrounder is a tweak for iOS devices that enables true multitaksing which was missing. Although Apple are talking about the multitasking feature in their phone, it doesn’t work exactly the way it is supposed to. All that happens is that the OS puts the download into suspended mode, which makes it consume very less battery and pauses its current state until it is restored again. This means that if you minimize an application, it will pause and won’t be exactly running in the background. For example, if you queue a download on a browser and minimize it, it will stop and the download cannot be resumed on many cases. Backgrounder fixes this issue. But there is a catch, this version is not finalized and is not fully functional. The application uses a Forced mode by default, but it seems to work fine(although the …
